Which VET-PRO food is for what?
- Renal (dogs): for dogs with kidney disease. Less phosphorus, so the kidneys work less hard. Also as a gravy.
- Hypoallergenic (dogs): for dogs with a food allergy - itchy skin, ear problems or loose stools that keep coming back.
- Gastrointestinal (dogs): for an upset stomach, diarrhoea or vomiting. Easy to digest. Also as Gastro gravy.
- Skin & Coat (dogs): an everyday food that helps dry, flaky skin and a dull coat.
- Mobility (dogs): for stiff or painful joints, hip problems and older dogs.
- Obesity (dogs): low fat and high fibre, to help an overweight dog lose weight without feeling hungry.
- Urinary Tract (cats): for cats with bladder problems or urinary stones (FLUTD).
- Recovery gravy (dogs and cats): soft, high-energy food for pets that are sick, weak or getting better after surgery.
How to switch to a vet diet
- Day 1-2: mix one quarter VET-PRO with three quarters of the old food.
- Day 3-4: half and half.
- Day 5-6: three quarters VET-PRO.
- Day 7: VET-PRO only.
- Give only the vet diet. Extra treats and table food can stop it from working.
For kidney and urinary diets, always keep fresh water out. Your vet may want to check your pet again after a few weeks.
